I'm a #1 international bestselling author, the host of the Inspired Nonprofit Leadership podcast, I race a J/80 sailboat, and I'm a single mom to a neuro-spicy teenager. I have a BA from the University of Chicago in International Studies and an MPS from SUNY New Paltz in Humanistic Multicultural Education.

For over two decades I've built and run all kinds of organizations, including multiple nonprofits, a café and art supply store, a video production company, a co-working space, and a marketing agency. Along the way I developed the Impact Method®, a leadership system that address team, strategy, and operations as one integrated whole and thus lets organizations grow without sucking the life out of their leaders.

I love building systems that help make a bigger impact and bring joy to the people who benefit from them. Weather it's a comprehensive leadership system or just a simple tweak in a daily routine, I'm into it.
